Meena Singh is a Los Angeles based cinematographer from Chicago whose Indian-American upbringing draws her to stories that bridge communities and illustrate our shared humanity. Her work spans critically celebrated festival films — including Sundance nominee The Tuba Thieves and SXSW selection Mother's Little Helpers — and widely viewed films like Netflix’s Wedding Season.
Recent credits include Netflix's 3 Body Problem (2nd unit) and Showtime pilot Seasoned, a half hour comedy that fictionalizes the delightfully tumultuous relationship of Mandy Patinkin and Kathryn Grody.
Early in her career, Meena shot additional photography on Oscar-winning Twenty Feet from Stardom and lensed Netflix's The Confession Tapes, sharpening her instinct for shaping natural light and capturing spontaneous beauty. She brings this approach to her narrative work with restraint and intention.
A graduate of the AFI Conservatory and Columbia College Chicago, Meena is also a founding member of Driftseed, a nonprofit empowering women and girls through documentary film.
